Title: The Do’s and Don’ts of Obtaining your new Profession : Teaching
Presenters: Eric Johnson, Fred Perrin, Jacqueline Maxwell, Brian Fanguy & Shelley Sears

Purpose: To assist in preparing the University of Houston, Victoria education student on the expectations of professionalism while observing, student teaching, handling students, and interviewing. The participants of this workshop will be enlightened on the professional characteristics, methods, attributes and habits that a school district, the potential employer, will expect.

Title: Chicken Soup for the Education Student
Presenters: Brandy Cottrell, Tara Danzer, Adrianna Salcedo, & Jackie Vallejos

Purpose: As a pre-service teacher this presentation will offer information regarding observation requirements and scheduling, course work load, additional expenses related to assignments, and suggestions for scheduling courses throughout your pre-service experience. This presentation will also cover how to be prepared for your days as a student teacher and provide tips to help when children become restless in the classroom and need a little break without leaving the room.

Title: Get Ready, Set, Go!!
Presenters: Ashley Henson, Ashley Trevino, Nicole Wilson, & Laura Young

Purpose: To provide useful information and tips on how to survive and be successful throughout the education program. This presentation will highlight organizational skills, teamwork, observation information, and tips to prepare and pass the PPR & Generalist exams.

Title: Terrific Tips for Teachers
Presenters: Tricia Smith, Cheryl Richardson, Penny Flores, & Sylvia Sanchez

Purpose: The goal is to inform and encourage pre-service teachers on the benefits, adaptations and skills that are required to survive at UHV and through out your teaching career.
